So I Could Find My Way - Song Lines, K. & S. Reys 2021

Gandjau Wangai
Written and Illustrated by Karen Reys

The story title means “Hungry Snake” and the story line follows the snake’s interaction with other Australian animals as it seeks something to eat.

Karen has been involved in extensive research to revive the Badjala language, the traditional language of Aboriginal people from Fraser Island, QLD. She has used this language to write a story that all children can enjoy. The English version of the story is also included.

The story led Karen to uncover her soul's purpose twenty years later.
